Annual Digital Image Competition

Above image was taken on a short break in Petworth, Sussex at the disused railway station;  now serving as our B&B.  This image was judged as 1st place in the category 'Man Made'.

This tree canopy, photographed in my local park, appealed to me as it has a pleasing structure and signifies the importance of trees in our environment; something I often take for granted.

The Magic of Trees

(Pictures/WWPS Competitions/Possible images/Trees on Brownsea Island)

Recently inspired by the photos of Simon Baxter, who specialises in 'tree' photography, I have started to notice the patterns and shapes formed by trees.  Here are some of my early images.  I look forward to taking many more!

PDI Open Competition - June 2024

This water meter and the surrounding reflection of the nearby tree and sky appealed to me as an interesting subject for a still life  (ABOVE).

A very wet start to Spring is demonstrated by the water droplets coating this plant one morning in May (BELOW).
