Sunshine on a rainy day…..
A rainy Sunday morning was brightened immensely by a mid-morning coffee at Gods Own Junkyard in Walthamstow.

Vestry House and Garden
It's well worth a trip to Walthamstow Village and the Vestry House museum and garden; located in a conservation area. Amongst the displays is the Bremer car. One of the most unusual stories in the history of British car development is that of its inventor Frederick Bremer. Bremer was a plumber by trade who was fascinated by the first motor cars. In 1894, Bremer lived on Connaught Road, Walthamstow, where he had a small workshop at the rear of his house. Here, he built Britain’s first four-wheeled car powered by an internal combustion engine.

Beauty and the beast
Spotted this host of golden daffodils on the infamous Redbridge roundabout. The contrast between the flowers and the concrete flyover led me to name this post accordingly. I still remember the time before there was a roundabout here.

Same view - different settings
Glorious sunny Spring day in Greenwich Park. Enjoyed the versatility of taking a compact camera with zoom and panoramic capabilities. Same view - different shots!

Pond life
Bright sunny morning in Thorndon Country Park (just outside of Brentwood town). The reflection of the blue sky within the overgrown pond caught my eye.
